Fortunately,
we
have
rules
for
togetherness
and
people
who
adhere
to
them
sufficiently.
This
allows
us
to
keep
life
in
larger
communities
in
an
orderly
fashion,
while
at
the
same
time
giving
room
to
the
multitude of individual pursuits.
We
are
in
a
country
where
waste
separation
is
practiced.
On
the
other
hand,
there
is
a
need
for
shopping
carts
that
you
can
only
get
with
the
use
of
a
coin,
because
it
doesn't
seem
to
work
any
other
way.
You
can
also
see
the
degree
to
which
people
are
connected
to
their
surroundings
in
the
public
toilets.
When
do
you
pick
up
a
paper
that's
lying
in
the
stairwell?
When
you
are
the
owner.
Otherwise,
people
often
leave
it
lying
around,
even
if
they
live
in
the
building.
Through
people
acting
in
terms
of
structure
and
order,
a
space
becomes
comprehensible.
People
should
need
less
rules,
because
they
are
better
connected
with
the
heart
and
therefore
behave
more
creatively-constructively
and
in
coordination
with
each
other.
But
exactly
this
will
have
to
prove
itself
in
practice
and
also
under
stress.
Is
it
the
nature
of
man
to
be
caring
with
himself,
his
neighbors
and
his
environment?
We
believe so.
On
the
one
hand,
communities
try
to
keep
up
with
the
changes
of
the
times,
but
on
the
other
hand
they
should
also
provide
a
framework
and
thus
also
stability.
The
faster
the
changes
run,
the
more
one
tries
to
consolidate
stability
with
more
and
more
rules
against
the
hustle
and
bustle
of
turbulent
times.
Networks
and
agility
become
more
and
more
important
and
with
them
the
communication,
the
mediation
and
the
coordination
of
all
elements
with
each
other.
A
modern
community
or
larger
living
community
is
made
up
of
modern
teams
that
are
in
a
good
communicative
and
cordial
connection
with
each
other.
The
individuals
in
the
teams
do
not
see
themselves
as
the
cogs
of
an
engine
but
as
living
human
beings.
What
makes
a
person
alive?
A
living
person
participates
in
life
by
experiencing
life
and
helping
to
shape
it.
Life
is
experienced
through
feelings.
Life
is
shaped
according
to
one's
own
utopias
and
common
visions.
The
team
visions
are
aligned
with
the
vision
of
the
community.
The
community
vision
is
expressed
in
an
NVC-plus
strategy
that
allows
team
members
to
intertwine
their
own
vision
with
the
larger
vision.
With
modern
teams
that
draw
their
vitality
from
the
vitality
of
all
team
members,
communities
become
capable
of
complexity.
They
can
exist
in
an
increasingly
complex
world
because
they
can
keep
up
with
it
and help shape it.
If
you
want
to
use
NVC-plus
for
a
larger
community
with
multiple
teams
and
levels,
it
is
a
strategic
task
that
should
be
well
planned.
Because
NVC-plus
guides
actual
transformation
from
the
depths
of
the
community
rather
than
from
the
top,
it
takes
quite
a
bit
of
pressure
off
the
central
hub,
but
the
approach
also
requires
a
shift
in
thinking
from
traditional
approaches.
Of
course,
initially
you
can
make
do
with
the
NVC-plus
elements,
which
are
fairly
easy
to
introduce.
But
a
deeper
transformation
requires
good
preparation,
which
cannot be predefined across the board.
By
the
way,
this
approach
is
especially
interesting
for
start-up
initiatives
and
communities
that
want
to
start
differently
from
the
beginning
and
act
with
each
other
on
an
equal
footing.
